Headed to TechEd 2010

I’m going to TechED this year, so needless to say I’m extremely chuffed at the moment!  I went back in 2008 (my first one ever!) and that was a great time to be there  IMHO.  The focus at that time was on Windows Server 2008, failover clustering, Hyper-V and group policy preferences.  With that said, I don’t want to make it sound like that everything else covered during that time was inconsequential, but from my perspective those items were pretty exciting seeing as I work heavily with AD and server infrastructure services.

The only downside to the whole experience was te backpack they handed out to the attendees.  After a few days of use, the bag started splitting apart at the seams.  That was the only disappointment to an otherwise supremely awesome experience.  And of course, there was the extremely cool closing party which was at the Universal Theme Park Studio on Thursday everning.  Somehow I don’t think they’ll ever be able to top that one to be honest.  So what party has been scheduled for 2010, you may be asking?  It’s going to be held at the Mardi Gras museum, trying to stay positive but I’m not sure about the choice to be honest.  We’ll see…

Im considering the possibility of blogging about my week at TechEd here.
